Sycamore Park is one of Clermont County’s largest parks and offers river access, a paved trail for walking or running, tennis courts, a playground, and updated restrooms. It is also home to the Wilson Nature Preserve and the James L. and Frances Wilson Memorial Kayak Launch.

Recreational Opportunities
With a historic river museum, wildlife nature preserve and river walk, Sycamore Park is a great place to get back to nature. Visitors enjoy walking along the paved trails or through the wooded areas and are surrounded by soothing sounds of birds, water, and leaves rustling.
The park also has four different picnic shelters for reservation, updated restrooms, and a tennis court. The 145-acre Wilson Nature Preserve is adjacent to the park and offers a peaceful riverside walk as well as hiking trails.
Disc golf lovers will find the park’s disc golf course to be challenging and fun. There are also baseball fields, open spaces, and a playground for those visiting with children. Educational nature programs are available throughout the year to inspire environmental stewardship.
Hiking Trails
With a paved trail along the East Fork of Little Miami River and a dirt path in Wilson Nature Preserve, Sycamore Park is a great place to take a relaxing walk. The park’s sycamore trees are interesting to see, including some with huge cavities inside their trunks that you can stand in.
When you walk on the paved portion of the trail you can hear traffic noise from State Route 132, but when you enter the wooded hiking trail you are surrounded by trees and a river that make you feel removed from civilization.
Anderson Township Planner Tom Caruso says that the township, Great Parks, and other local groups are working to extend the Little Miami Scenic Trail into Clermont County. When completed, the trail will connect to the Ohio to Erie Trail in Cleveland. Check it out here.
Picnicking
The park’s picnic areas and paved trails provide a relaxing backdrop for family picnicking or peaceful strolls. Bring a blanket and enjoy a leisurely meal while listening to the soothing sounds of flowing water and leaves rustling in the wind.
The paved trail around the river is a great place to walk, jog or ride your bicycle. This is the most popular trail in the park and is a great place to view wildlife or just get away from the noises of daily life.
There are four picnic shelters in the park which can be reserved for special occasions. There are also picnic tables available on a first-come, first-serve basis. All rental shelters are equipped with electricity and have a capacity of 50 people.
Fishing
The park offers many opportunities for fishing and angling in the serene setting of its woodlands and along the banks of the East Fork River. Fishing is available for both experienced and beginners.

As one of the largest parks in Clermont County, Sycamore Park is a popular destination for visitors. It features a pond, picnic shelters, paved walking trails and a handicapped-accessible tennis court. The Wilson Nature Preserve is adjacent to this park as well. Nature Programs
The Wilson Nature Preserve is located adjacent to Sycamore Park and features 145 acres along the East Fork of the Little Miami River. Large forests, wildflowers, and grasslands provide habitat for wildlife. Over three miles of hiking trails wind through the preserve.
Raptor Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to educating, inspiring, and serving the community through wildlife rehabilitation, education, and conservation action. They rehabilitate over 300 birds of prey annually and deliver more than 350 educational presentations at schools, libraries, and other venues throughout the region.
